Consumer News
Natural Foods Aren’t So “Natural”
Across the nation, consumers are holding companies responsible for food labeling products “All Natural” when in fact, the products contain genetically modified (GMOs) ingredients.
The most recent company, Home Run Inn Frozen Foods Corporation, was sued in a class action lawsuit for product liability claims that many of their frozen foods actually containing GMOs. Plaintiff Brain Street brought the class action lawsuit in USDC Northern District Florida.
Wage and Hour News
In the Wage & Hour world, Jack in the Box is facing an employment class action for allegedly misclassifying store managers as salaried and denied store managers meal, rest breaks, and overtime pay. Jack in the Box also allegedly failed to provide accurate wage statements.
Unfortunately, Crosner Legal knows this is a common tactic with the majority of store manager positions. It is against California labor law to misclassify, which means to pay an employee a salary instead of paying the employee for the hours they worked.
In order to stand up for his employment rights and recover his wages owed to him, Plaintiff Kartik Patel, brought the new lawsuit against Jack in the Box in USDC Southern District of California.
