A PAGA representative action was filed on behalf of non-exempt employees staffed at nail salons for Labor Code violations stemming from, among other things, a piece rate compensation system which did not pay employees for all hours worked resulting in minimum wage and overtime violations. Plaintiff also alleges that she along with similarly situated aggrieved employees were not afforded proper meal and rest periods, among other Labor Code violations.
