Plaintiff performed maintenance related duties for JRK Property Holdings, a Los Angeles real estate holding and property management company. He filed suit against JRK for disability discrimination arising from a work-related injury. As a result of the injury, Plaintiff required accommodations so as to continue working but was denied and forced to take medical leave before being illegally terminated. Plaintiff also alleges Private Attorney General Act cause of action that JRK regularly denied him—and other employees— their rest breaks and meal periods in violation of California law without receiving appropriate compensation.
