Plaintiff is a security guard employed by Assertive Security Services & Consulting Group, Inc. Plaintiff is alleging that Assertive Security Services misclassified him as an independent contractor, did not permit him to leave his post during his shift and required him to bring his meals with him. Moreover, Plaintiff believes that the company automatically deducted meal breaks from his paychecks even though he was not permitted to take his breaks.  Plaintiff also asserts that he was not compensated at the appropriate rate for working overtime, despite working over forty hours every week in violation of California law.
