Federal Regulations “Natural” “GMO” “Organic” The primary authorities in the federal regulation of food labels are from the Federal, Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act (NLEA), the FDA and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
